Dear Mrs. Albrecht;

Progress Report 1: 1st 6-week grades, college

Work Completed (Jan - Mar):
I've rethought my priorities and realized graduation needs to be my first priority over everything else. Keeping grades up is difficult now because of all the orchestra activities I have going on (Grossmont Symphony Orchestra, East County Youth Symphony. West Hills Orchestra) but I'm working on turning in all of my work, and graduating on time, with O.K. grades. I've contacted Ms. Keegan (ECYS) and Dr. Tweed (GSO) and asked if I could wait until fall to join them and play. I love orchestra, ans it is what I want to do, but I need to graduate first and focus on my own orchestra. School is hard, when you don't focus, but I'm going to start focussing.

Work Scheduled:
I plan on getting a job after i graduate, either at Gamestop or helping the orchestra (places I am very experienced in). I'm going to attend Grossmont Community College for two years and then I'm going to transfer to Azusa Pacific University, near L.A., or Puget Sound University, in Washington, to further my orchestra education. I know what I want to do when i grow up, and playing music and sharing my musical passion is one of them. Some orchestras pay you, but they're professional (i.e. San Diego Symphony) and I'm not nearly good enough yet. But in about 5 years, I hope to be more than ready. I just need to graduate first.

Sincerely,

Kylie Brader, student
